ADD in adults

Is it 'normal' to get diagnosed with ADD as an adult?
Has anyone had this, how were you assessed?
I have an appt with the GP on Thursday to discuss it, but I am wondering what to expect.

I was diagnosed two years ago at 35

ABitOfAShitShow · 01/02/2021 20:31

I was diagnosed at 35 too.

There are quite a few threads if you search this site.

I was diagnosed 4 months ago at 32, nearly 33

I’m in the process of diagnosis

Covid has amplified my issues. I'm not certain it's ADD but I strongly suspect it could be. I'm in my 40s though and wonder if I would actually benefit from a diagnosis at this point.
