I’ve just been prescribed this. GP has given me 50mg but suggested I start with 25mg and build up to 50mg.

Anyone been on it and can offer any tips or ways to mitigate side effects? (Or is it just a case of ride it out?)

My gp prescribed omeprazole, cyclizine and diazepam for the first 2 weeks.
I found taking these kept the nausea and increased anxiety at bay but had to come off it after 3/4 weeks as it lowered my blood pressure too much.

I find I must take it with lots of water or the nausea/heartburn is awful. I have about 250ml with it, after breakfast, and have been side effect free since about day 8.

Thank you. What mg are you taking? I’ve been given 50mg but told to only take 25mg for week 1.

I've been on 50 since day 1, and wasn't aware most people started on 25 until I was a few days in haha. Luckily I didn't have major side effects but everyone's different.

I just started at 50mg. Felt hungover for about a week and since then I've been fine. I take it at bedtime which I found helped lessen the side effects in the early days. Hope it helps for you Thanks

Just been prescribed this too. My GP said 50mg every other day for a week, then every day after that. Only taken first one today. Took it this morning and feel ok. I'd read that if you have trouble sleeping best to take it in the morning

I haven’t started to take it yet, although I did pick up my Prescription today.
