I am on 20mg and for various reasons wish to stop, I’ve been on them a year. I have read online that tapering is advised even though these aren’t SSRI’s.
I am wondering if anyone has just stopped ? I will taper until I’m sure but I am also debating if it’s feasible to just stop, cope with the side effects and crack on ?
I appreciate everyone is different re meds but just incase anyone has first hand experience please ?

Don't. I ran out once because the pharmacy didn't have them in. Lasted 3 days and rang my GP for another script and he hit the roof. Said they should have returned the prescription so I could fill it elsewhere and that I could have had a seizure.

Your dose is quite low but you have had it a long time and they are very dangerous to stop abruptly. Its not about dealing with the side effects, they alter your brain chemistry. You are literally sending your brain into shock.

They're not a drug to piss about with.

Thanks for replying @nothingcanhurtmewithmyeyesshut
I bought a pill cutter today and am going to taper very slowly over a few months.

Its best that way. If you're going too fast the splitting headache will let you know.
