Seeking gp help - how to do it?

Hi

I wasn't sure where to put this and thought on here I'm anonymous but I really feel like I'm struggling but the idea of going to the gp is making me worried.

I find myself getting so stressed by things that I can't sleep can't concentrate at all on a bad day. I have headaches from the stress, take hours to get to sleep then struggle to get up. I feel permanently exhausted.

If I went to the gp what would I even ask or tell them? Trying to get appointments are like gold dust and I can't risk a phone appointment at work. So maybe its not worth trying to do it tbh.

Sorry it's rambling.

Ring and say you can't take or make phone calls at work and could they phone you at a time you can... I would be fine with that. I will often ring later if needed .

But please call them. Just saying out loud how you are feeling and having it acknowledged can make a huge difference, and help you work out a way forward with help if you need it.

They make you do a phone call first here. Even had to do one before a smear despite being in work or would have had to cancel the appointment. Covid rules. I just don't know what to ask for anyway even if I did go. Like surely they will just say sleep more. Take time to relax. If I could I would. Sorry. I know this is a negative post so probably incredibly unhelpful.
