Feeling suicidal

Hi all,

I've been really down the past week, very irritable and shouty at poor DS. I'm fed up and been thinking about ending it all for god. I have been on sertraline since April but I ran out and couldn't get my emergency prescription. I've been without them for a week and I literally have no patience for anything. Not DS or DH.

111 will be able to sort you an emergency script. But if you're feeling suicidal you need to speak to your gp immediately.

Are you under a MH team?

I used to be but never found them useful

Hi nousernameno,

We're really sorry to hear you're feeling so very low.

We know there'll be some other Mumsnetters along soon, but we just wanted to add a link to our Mental Health resources. There are lots of organisations listed which can give you some extra support.

Mind.org has put together lots of information on Coronavirus and your mental health - please take a look.

The NHS also has a page on - Coronavirus - looking after your mental health with lots of useful tips and support.

You can also go to the Samaritans website, or email them on [email protected], or call them, any time, on 116 123. Support from other Mumsnetters is great and we really hope you'll be able to take some comfort from your fellow posters, but as other MNers will tell you, it's really a good idea to seek real life help and support as well.

Please keep talking. We really hope you're okay. Flowers

Please contact either your Gp or 111 ASAP to get back on your medication. They shouldn't have let you go without. And speak to your DH about how you are feeling so he can keep an eye on you Thanks

Sertraline needs to be gradually reduced to come off it, so you will be having a withdrawal plus the resurgence of any previous symptoms. Call your GP or 111 if after hours to sort a prescription again. There are various mental health helplines that you can call to talk through how you are feeling and they can give you some coping strategies to see you through till you get medication again.
