Hi please don’t judge!

I’ve hit rock bottom - will be ringing the doctors tomorrow for medication.

Anybody else feeing like this? I feel like 2020 has gotten on top of me and now we’re in 2021 I can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.

It is the same thing it is this virus and being in tier 4 wfh and having to home school

Can't do it

Lilye88 · 03/01/2021 17:25

@Spiratedaway yes as silly as it sounds I felt safe in 2020 because it was the norm but “new year” etc

I’m in a temp job, daughter turned into a teenager - now had a eating disorder and Anxiety from this. My mother doesn’t go out - we live with them so I’m running about. Christmas and her birthdaywas the worst ever according to my daughter. I feel like I’ve lost control of everything

Everything came to a head yesterday in the supermarket with me having an outburst.

Yeah, me too. Hit bottom a couple of weeks ago after a 2-year downward spiral and started antidepressants. They're helping already. Hang in there, OP.

Lilye88 · 03/01/2021 17:31

@nearlynermal sending you lots of love.

For once I’ll tell the doctor’s receptionist tomorrow everything and hopefully I can get some medication.

nearlynermal · 06/01/2021 20:31

How are you doing, Lily? Did you get to the GP?

Lilye88 · 07/01/2021 12:30

@nearlynermal got medication yesterday but obviously got to wait for them to kick in! I can’t stop shaking from my anxiety also.

How are you doing? X

Checking in to say hi. Only a complete idiot would judge you! It’s awful and takes real courage to face.
I have found an anti depressant that works for me and had CBT. I’ve come out the other side. You can do this.
Mindfulness, exercise and relaxation techniques also help me. Hoping you feel much better soon. Flowers

Kir5tyTwiggy · 07/01/2021 20:35

Hi hope you are well I started my medication yesterday scared to take it tonight as felt so rough all day today but nice to hear when people do come out of other side we can all do this

nearlynermal · 07/01/2021 20:41

Hope the meds work for you, @Lilye88. I'm on week 3 of mine, and they're definitely kicking in. Also trying to do everything possible to help my mood - no alcohol, more vitamins, ALMOST going back to exercising finally. I'm off the bottom. But then I think I have fewer people making demands on me than you do. Hope you're finding some moments of respite now that the Christmas stress is over. Thanks

Lilye88 · 07/01/2021 20:49

@Wolfiefan @Kir5tyTwiggy @nearlynermal ahhhh thanks guys you’ve made me smile. Well I took the medication last night but didn’t sleep, so felt rough in work. I need to go as it’s temp job.

Take the medication as the longer you leave it the harder it’ll be.

I’ve started a mindfulness podcast and go walking on weekends - weather dependant. I hope you all come through the other side. We’ve got this guys xx

My lovely DH bought me a warm and waterproof coat so I will be out no matter the weather! Plus I have dogs.
So glad you’ve started the medication. Hang on in there!

Kir5tyTwiggy · 07/01/2021 21:07

@Lilye88
How is the podcast my partner always try’s me to listen but I’m no good at listening I’m a bit better at reading something but I surpose it wudnt hurt to try
Yes it’s so nice to hear people on here talk and be positive to each other and to know we all going through it and it will get better always here if anyone wants to talk Smile

nearlynermal · 07/01/2021 21:14

Re meds and sleep, I don't know what you're in, but I'm on citalopram and found I wasn't sleeping so well. I've started taking it earlier in the day and it seems to be going better.

Kir5tyTwiggy · 07/01/2021 21:21

By any chance does anyone know or has taken sleeping tablets with sertraline as I really need sleep by body and head is so tired now , but weren’t sure if could ?

Lilye88 · 07/01/2021 21:24

@Wolfiefan once it gets lighter I’ll be out more. I’m more anxious out in the dark!

@Kir5tyTwiggy I find it hard to relax listening to something however it’s a switch off so nothing is distracting me. I think distractions are the biggest part in this.

@nearlynermal certaline - I need to take it the same time everyday so I may take it in the morning rather than night.

The doctor was so helpful and gave me advice and local support groups online that I can join.

I’m not working so I can go out in the morning. It’ll be lighter soon.
Distractions are key.
