Stress

Does anybody else get stressed over the smallest of things?

I feel I lead a very busy lifestyle - single mum to 5 yr old DD, I have 3 jobs (all part time) alongside PhD. When I am not spending time on my PhD I feel stressed, when I am not spending 'quality' time with my DD I feel stressed and guilty.

When my house is messy (99.9% of the time) I feel stressed. I feel like I'm constantly rushing from pillar to post and live in really unorganised and rushed fashion which leads to so much stress.

Before the christmas holidays I downloaded a meditation app, started yoga classes and started journaling. Does anybody have any advice on reducing the stress in my life? I feel like I'm just in a constant daze jumping from one task to the next whilst simultaneously throwing my shit around everywhere

It doesn't sound like you're getting stressed over small things. You've listed what you're doing and it sounds like more than enough. (!)

Is your DD at school? Can you prioritise Phd stuff for then or are you working at those times?

As for the house being messy - let it go - if it makes you feel better do a 10 min tidy up twice a day. Basics only. That is so not worth getting stressed over Flowers

I think stress is such a natural part of life but when it kind of starts overtaking your daily activities then it can pose as a problem. Im a working mom as well and my kid has ADHD so honestly its not easy. You should try ayurveda, its something that personally helped me alot. Make time for yourself to meditate for just 5 minutes in the morning and evening and maybe some ayurvedic supplements to create a sense of balance!
