I suffer from anxiety which mainly manifests itself in overthinking things, worrying too much what others think & OCD eg over checking things
I’d be interested in people’s thoughts on the best SSRI to help manage this - in particular whether escitalopram is better than citalopram or vice versa.

Hi well for me it’s fluoxetine that helps with anxiety.
Tried setraline and citarapralim neither helped me....

I'm finding Sertraline is helping. Fluoxetine made it worse. Sadly as you can see from these two replies, everyone's diferent...

It is definitely an individual thing, but I found fluoxetine worked particularly well

That’s interesting-my gp said fluoxetine was unlikely to help with anxiety!

Guess we are all different in how we react to the drugs.

Mine are really kicking in now and helping me to feel calmer and to focus on life and making the best of it.
I have a stressful job and that my trigger also a single mother which as I’m finding is demanding.
I’m going to look at ways to reduce stress. Less working hours is one, yoga is two.
