Supplements for suspected female ADHD?

I stumbled upon female adhd while trying to find tools online to help with my lack of focus, anxiety, bad pms and hyperactivity. I’m 90% convinced that I suffer from this. I may go to the Gp to discuss but I’m quite keen to try any herbal or vitamin type supplements first before I go to the go...thank you !

NHS wait is very long, but there is 'right to choose' and you can choose psychiatry UK or other private places. Personally I paid privately instead. ADHD is mostly caused by a deficiency in dopamine. So the best natural thing you can do is excercise to boost dopamine levels. High protein diet etc. Also caffeine like ADHD meds is a stimulant, so high doses can help you focus at times. Good luck with your diagnosis.

I have found omega oil supplements have helped alot.
And use coffee carefully to help focus.

Medication is many times more effective than supplements, but the most effective non-medical treatments are omega 3, magnesium, and exercise. Vitamin D deficiency can also cause similar symptoms.

I recommend the youtube channel How to ADHD for practical tips and ADHD essentials podcast.

Thank you all.
I’ve tried coffee, but that gave me heart palpitations so had to stop..I only drink green or occasionally Earl gray tea now.
Exercise all the time to try to distill the hyperactivity...if I don’t exercise, I can’t sleep no matter how tired I am.
Main concern atm is binge eating...boredom, stress and lockdown driving me to this too...I be tried do hard to restrict but can’t do it.
I am hoping to go to gp in the new year but also worried about whether I will them be required to disclose to any new employers...without wishing to our myself, I work in a fairly high pressured job and wouldn’t want this to go against me.

Be aware green tea is a stimulant too.
On the one hand an ADHD diagnosis means you are covered by the disability discrimination act. However as any woman who has been fired for various reasons relating to being female will know, legal rights are not actually worth much.
