Book help?

Just talked to MIL. She says when I say things about depression she doesn't say anything as she doesn't have the answer. Taking yesterday's article with Melinda Messenger as I think some things she said may explain it better.

Is there a book or something that I could get her to try and help her understand?

Going over there now. She is having the older two until Friday for me.

Hey

I don't know if it's still useful, but MIND do booklets giving lots of information and advice for friends and relatives. The link is here:

www.mind.org.uk/Information/Booklets/Understanding/Understanding+depression.htm

h ttp://www.mind.org.uk/Information/Booklets/Understanding/Understanding+mental+illness.htm

They have loads of booklets on various leaflets.

Also an organisation like Depression Alliance might have information for friends and families.

I know your MIL is not your carer, but searching for information for carers might also get some information.

Hope this is helpful.
