Sertraline vs Escitalopram

In the past I have taken a low dose of escitalopram which I managed to get off around the start of the year. I sometimes felt it was making the spikes in my anxiety worse although the background levels were better if that makes sense.

Fast forward and the GP has suggested I try sertraline (mainly because of other meds I am taking). At first I was happy to try something new but having read the side-effects and some peoples' experience on here, I am wondering if I should stick with escitalopram. GP has started me on 20mg but I haven't taken it yet - partly because I didn't want major side effects to kick in until after Christmas. Anyone else with experience of these two?
