Sertraline / omeprazole causing anxiety

I dont even know where to begin
During November about 5 things went wrong at once which of course left me stressed I went to the doctor for acid reflux and she gave me omeprazole and sertraline I took them both together and felt a little sick but nothing major then the day after the panic attacks started like wow I've never ever had them before this continued until the friday so i stopped the medication (started the attacks on Wednesday) then I had a good few days then now I'm feeling so sick and anxious all the time and bad diarrhoea I'm not being sick just retching
I dont know what to do im thinking of going to buy some kalms to help me out I have never ever been this anxious before I started on the meds I feel like im going mad does anyone have any experience of this?

Not sure I can help but I have been prescribed this exact combination and I have held off taking the sertraline. In fact I just came on here to see what experiences others have had with sertraline.

I was on escitalopram but the GP didn't want me back on that with omeprazole as the two don't mix (apparently), although a different GP suggested that they were ok together if you don't have specific pre-existing conditions.

I came off escitalopram when I had my first lot of omeprazole back in September and I remember some side effects (nausea, dizziness), although I haven't had either this time around. Now I'm back on omeprazole and for various reasons I have asked for something for anxiety as well. The GP prescribed sertraline for the reasons above but when I read the side-effects I decided to try and manage without until after Christmas at least.

I think you need to go back to your GP

I took Sertraline last year for around 8 months. First fortnight I felt sick but bizarrely only when I yawned! After that I was ok. I felt worse coming off them. I felt spaced out like you do if you miss a dose. I think that lasted about two months but it was a case of 'oh I haven't felt spaced out for a while' if you see what I mean.

I've just bought some kalms so going to see how I cope with them
The doctor has changed me to lanzoparzole* instead of the omeprazole and at a lower dose
I was on google earlier and apparently a big study was done on omeprazole causing depression but i dont know if its true or I'm just looking for answers as I was nothing like this before I started all this medication

I only took it for 2 days and reacted this bad hopefully I'll start to feel better soon without needing a different prescription medication
Glad your feeling better
