Consultant appointment given within a few days

Is this usual friend asked for one yesterday and was given one for early next week?

It depends on the area. I called the duty team over weekend and was given an appointment with the psychiatrist for Tuesday with a follow up appointment the following week.

I need a medication review a few weeks ago my consultant was on annual leave when the appointment was requested I had the appointment on the Tuesday morning the week she returned.

There have been a few times where I have had quick turnarounds although also other times when there has been more of a wait.
