On 30mg a day and my weight has ballooned. I kind of knew I'd gain weight, I did when I was on other ADs so thought I knew what to expect but fucking hell this is awful Sad I have put on about 3 stone in 6 months. Is it possible to diet on this drug?? I am just constantly hungry. Totally unsatiated even after a big meal. Don't really want to stop taking it but not sure I can carry on at this size or larger. Would a doctor be able to help?

I'm on it too and I have put on a few pounds but nothing I can't live with. I am always hungry but try to have healthy snacks in and exercise regularly. I started using my fitness pal a few months ago, helped me shift half a stone and it really forces you to be honest about what you eat so could be worth a try.

I think you'd be best trying to satiate your appetite with protein. I found it hard on it as I felt depressed if I didn't eat carb, it gave me so much joy, but my weight went up. I switched to Citalopram and didn't have the same problem.

Started taking 30mg about 6 months ago. Best thing I every did. Never want to go back to how I felt before. The always feeling hungry and compulsion to eat everything In sight has passed now. I did put on a little weight but it has levelled out now.

I was on this and I had to change onto something else. It’s not your only option so I’d go back to the GP and ask if you could take another drug.

Thanks all for the messages! Problem is I'm not sure what else I can go on... Have tried loads of other ADs already. Plus the side effect of making you sleepy is really helpful as I have absolutely dreadful anxiety / insomnia.

I will definitely try upping my protein, thank you for the hint. Have done mfp in the past and found it worked because you have to record everthing but couldn't get into it this time, even with the idea of having to record food afterwards!
