Nightmares

I have no idea where to go with this.... my DS is almost 5 months old.... since his birth I have had the most horrendous nightmares.

From him Being snatched, to us drowning, me being abducted etc but last night was the worst. I was on a cruise ship and he was "taken to childcare" I was lead to a room for a "photo shoot" with some friends where all I can describe was a pornographic film being "made" it had numerous celebrities in and I wasn't involved but was able to look through a glass window to see what was going on.

In the end someone was so fiercely assaulted (sexually) that he died. I won't Goni to detail as it was really horrific.

I suddenly saw blood and dead bodies everywhere, amongst naked people......

I have no idea what to do with this.... Where the fuck did this come from.... what the hell is in my head....

I used to be a police officer until I left the force for a normal life. I did see many things that would produce this kind of dream reaction but I dealt with that 10years ago.

I don't know what to do..... I'm beside myself..... I have nightmares every night and i dread going to sleep.

I feel broken. Apologies for the graphic detail.

I don't have any suggestions as to why you're having nightmares OP but didn't want to read and run. Have you spoken to anyone else about these nightmares you're having for some support? I've had some horrendous nightmares due to my mental health issues so I do understand how terrifyingly real they feel especially when you can't pin point what has triggered them off. I'd advise you to speak to your health visitor or GP and see if they can help you get to the bottom of it.
