For all you on cipralex, I've been on 20mg since January. Generally I feel that I've got my life back.It did take a while to work, but since around May I've found myself doing things and going to places that I wouldn't have even thought about a year ago!! However I do get bad dreams and I do go through days of feeling very low (and I do have a little bad habit of self harm on occasions!) But overall I'm glad I stuck with it!!

Hi. Im on cipralex at the moment.....been on it only 2 weeks and I am finding it hard to stick with. I feel rotten on it.

I am glad that you stuck with it and made it work for you.

Hi, Hang on in there!! found it took about 6weeks to work. But i was coming off Prozac as well as I had a very nasty reaction to it!

I'm on prozac (40mg) and it is working really well for me. Started on 20mg and after 4 weeks it wasn't working at all. The GP upped the dose and within 2 weeks I am feeling almost back to my old self. No experience of cipralex, but do hang in there titania and give it at least 4 weeks. Glad to hear things are getting better for you mumwithnoname

It took 2.5 months for me to see any improvement, but I really am starting to feel more like me now. I did have to have my dose upped to 40mg, but I can see a real improvement now.

I started on 20mg of Prozac too and when I went back feeling very agitated, unable to sleep, unable to keep my body still and having self harm thoughts my doc put it up to 40mg. And I felt even worse!! the only good effect I got from Prozac was weight loss (cos I couldn't eat!)
I then had to endure coming off it for a week before I could go on anything else- not something I'd recomend!!(wink)

I just recently had to come off Cipralex as I had a dreadful reaction to it last friday. The lesson here is that everyone is different and that it's sometimes a case of trial and error finding an ad to suit, different types suit different people.Although I had a bad time on it , it's nice to hear some positive experiences and it's worth remembering that ads dont work over night(if only!) and perseverence is the key, they do take several weeks to work properly.
