Have been to Boots to get something more natural to help. Bought nat. mur. 30c, sepia 30c and ignatia 6c I did this as the GP receptionist wouldn't give me an appointment saying I had to go through the Triage nurse, she will decide if I need a doctor or not. Waiting for her to ring me back.

The Boots lady say things might get worse before they get better, that is how they work.

God I hate it when they put all sorts of obstacles in peoples way, don't they realise tyhat it takes bl**dy days to get to ringing the doctor in the first place? Did you get chocolate?

NAB3 · 18/10/2007 10:39

Have some chocolate somewhere but not sure what to do.

So scared of going with it when having moments of being happy as every time I was happy as a kid it was taken away from me or ruined. Usually by my mother.

Could I also suggest you try, if you're not taking one already, an Omega oil supplement. There seems to be growing evidence that they can help with depression - I definitely think I feel better for taking one and they certainly won't hurt.

Come on NAB3, you're not a child any more and you don't have to 'earn' a moment of happy. It's not up to mother any more. Just sitting down in front of a movie with a BIG bar of chocolate (or cake) can make you happy for a while, and you don't have to repay it. Do something for you, today. Sorry sorry sorry if I sound a bit harsh, but I would come round and take you shopping if I knew where you were!

Have a Google of Omega oils + depression and you'll see there's lots of info out there. It's Omega 3 that seems particularly useful in depression and that there is most likelihood that you could be deficient in. It also seems important to take the right strength for the best results. Don't feel bad about posting about this - and we all nave events in our childhoods that have shaped who we are today.

Nurse just rang. Miraculously have found an appointment with my usual GP tmw. Have to go get DD now.

Have been to the shop and got some smoked salmon for my lunch and a pot of vitamins. They are the one-a-day pure cod liver oil with omega-3 fish oils and vitamins A, D and E plus Evening Primrose Oil. Spent £20 I can't afford on blinking stuff this morning. Oh yes, and 2 bars of Green & Blacks chocolate.

Well done NAB3 - of course you can afford to look after your body! Now put on a george clooney film (oceans 11, I reckon) and blob on the sofa with the chocolate and a salmon sandwich. That suonds pretty good to me, I might join you!
