No where to turn

My partner has some really bad mental health problems. She tried to commit suicide back in December last year and was sectioned. Following that there has been little to no support. Meds upped and that's it. Not one single follow up call. Fast forward to now - there has been some alcohol misuse but 3 nights ago I woke up in the early hours to a knife on the side and she was missing. I did find her and we have spent two days phoning round to get help. The Gp wants to increase her medication and basically said nothing else. 111 was a little more helpful. I am so so scared, I can't sleep and haven't for nearly 48 hours now. I don't know where to turn and I'm going to break soon ☹️

How awful, I truly can't imagine what you're going through :-(

Do you know what causes her sadness, her desperation? To the point to want to step out of her life?

Would there be any way to bring improvement on to those issues...?

I've been in a similar situation. Keep ringing the GP demand a mental health assessment, if things escalate to a point you are scared for your safety or your wife's go to A&E or ring for an ambulance.
Has your wife had a diagnosis and is she under the care of the mental health team?
Does your wife accept she needs help or does she have psychosis? Sorry for all the questions your head must be spinning right now I truly hope your wife gets the care she needs, you have a fight on your hands get as much rest as you can and persist until she gets it. I had to ring the GP every day, eventually we managed to get a mental health assessment at home from the community team which avoided another hospital admission it was draining but we did get the support in the end.
