I've posting this here as I feel my home is worsening my health. I live in a basement council flat with my own front and back entrance and garden, it's very lovely. But it is in a rough area, there is always drama, my neighbour upstairs does all kinda of drugs and has recently disappeared because some drug dealers ransacked his place, I used to share my garden with him but he would throw his rubbish out his window. Now he's gone it's much more peaceful but I feel my anxiety has creeped up on me. On every corner there is someone dealing drugs at night, block of flats down the road has all kinds of furniture ditched outside. And the damp is absolutely awful, it has ruined furniture, clothing, the walls feel wet to touch so my housing association are moving me out after lockdown to get the damp fixed then move me back in which I'm also worrying myself about. I've decided to try and swap my home, and have found somewhere in a better area, minus a garden, but I am willing to sacrifice any outside space to get away from this crap hole. What do you think?

Oh and you always hear drum and bass on a Saturday with the police outside!

You may feel differently when the flat is fixed and happy to wait for somewhere with space.

Can you make it better short term e.g. with a dehumidifier? If you move is there a park nearby? Are there allotments?
