If there's a second lockdown?

How many people will this be the tipping point for?
I think it will be for me.
I turn 40 next month and I have a five month-old.
Everything has turned to shit and I honestly won't see the point in carrying on.
Does anyone else feel the same?

Me too, and I don't normally have these kind of thoughts. Just feel desparately sad for so many losses, not just my losses. Won't be able to see frail parents, who are not really coping, friends, outdoor exercise, my children who have lost so much when the world should be their oyster. Really having to work hard on my present coping skills, when covid has removed so many of them, and don't have the energy. I've been supporting relatives who have not recovered mentally from the first lockdown. I'm knackered. I also have long covid and definitely do not want a reinfection Sad

I turned 40 in lockdown, some friends sent recorded messages and I ordered a takeaway and ate a tub of icecream. Not quite what was planned and I fully intend to do it properly when this is over. I live alone and just started an immunosuppressant for another condition. I am so tired in between bursts of energy. I guess we know what to expect this time.

It will be the tipping point for me I think. I'm in horrendous dental pain and have an extraction booked for Wed so desperately hoping it will still happen and am already feeling so low from the last lockdown that I don't think I can survive another one.

Sorry to hear everyone else is struggling but a comfort to know I’m not alone. I suffer from (undiagnosed) anxiety anyway but I feel like my levels are through the roof at the moment. I’m worried about our jobs, the economy, our wedding which we have planned for next year- I honestly can’t see a way out of this. People keep saying that things will get better but things just seem to be getting worse and worse. This is not a normal way to live.

@Bluemooninmyeyes1 Hope your wedding goes ahead and that you have an amazing day. Ours has been cancelled - twice - and we have decided not to rebook until thinks are more settled with Covid. And then of course everything will be booked up for years anyway! Nightmare!
