Phenergan for anxiety at night?

Anyone else use this to help them sleep?

Suggested by a professional from local crisis support team so don't think it's controversial but obviously not a long term answer. I thought the worker said you could take 100mg but seems high?

Hopeful bump, apparently it's also known as promethazine

Yes I do - it’s a sedating antihistamine and is used in Night Nurse. You can buy over the counter. It works really well for me (well it did, I can’t take it now as I’m on something else that is sedating)

I tried a much lower dose (not for anxiety) and the next day I could barely function I was so groggy. Happened each time so I had to give up on it

I have used it to help me sleep, felt a bit spaced out next day so I'd not do the top dose again.
