BPD

Hi, I’m looking for advice. I think my partner may have a personality disorder, likely BPD. But he refuses to see a doctor or get help. His behaviour is getting worse at home. He regularly (almost daily) flies off the handle at the slightest perceived “wrong” and takes every single accident or mistake as a personal slight on his character. He goes into a rage at times or instead throws nasty comments, name calling, digs at me.
Does anyone have any advice? We have children. If he doesn’t change I would like to separate but I doubt he will leave the house freely. He will likely fight me for the house and custody and can be extremely manipulative - so I am sure he will do all he can to twist things against me.

I also have BPD and it's not an excuse to treat anyone badly. If he didn't have the condition he would still be making nasty comments and digs at you which isn't acceptable behaviour.

There's a huge difference between someone in treatment and someone whose not, but the fact that he doesn't want to even try to get help says he's not going to change.
