Going from 50 to 100mg Sertraline

Been on 50mg for a while now but feel like my anxiety is getting bad again so GP has increased to 100mg today. Felt a bit nauseated and struggled to sleep when I started taking the 50mg, am I likely to get that again? Also, if 100mg is going to work, will it take 4-6 weeks or should it be quicker? Thanks

Watching with interest, I've been on 50mg for two years now and wondering if I should up it. I always struggle more in the Autumn/winter but this year's extra stresses are getting in top of me a bit too much!

Good luck, hopefully someone who has done it will pop in shortly.

Mine has gone up from 50mg to 100mg and then up to 150mg. I didn't really have any additional side effects either time. X

Results should be quicker with an increase versus initiation. Nausea will return but will pass. Good luck - most people tend to stabilise on 100mg IME, and still room to go up again if needed (or back down!).

I didn't notice too much of a change, side effect wise, going from 50mg to 100mg.

I had a few fidgety days and then it tapered back off again.

I was fine on 50 but had sex probs at 100 mg. couldn't reach climax etc.

Thanks all. Took 100mg today, no nausea but feel a bit spaced out. Already a bit worried about coming off it as brain zaps etc don’t sound good.

Sertraline isn't too bad to come off in terms of brain zaps etc. Just has to be done gradually. You probably won't get the nausea etc from the increase but it will take several weeks to notice the difference.
