How long does it take for Propranolol to work for severe anxiety?

Ds on day 2, says no different.

I've taken these they are not a long term tablet to take for anxiety if its severe were you given anything else to take? Propranolol usually works after an hour or so.

Fluoxetine which has helped with the depression but not the anxiety. Doc trying Propranolol for the anxiety before upping the Fluoxetine.

What strength is he on may need stronger i was taking 40mg twice daily. Again they do only work for a few hours hope he's feeling better soon x

What dose/frequency is he on?

10mg of Pro x a day.
Flux 20mg/5 ml once a day

Sorry Pro twice a day

10mg is a low dose maybe speak to gp see if you can up in to 20mg twice a day see if that works

yeah what sweetpea says, that is literally the lowest poss dose.

About 20 mins for me. I have 40mg up to 3 times a day.

Very quickly, about half an hour to an hour, but my tablets are 40mg.

Like other posters I take 40 mg up to three times a day and it works within 30 mins.
