Fluoxetine?

Is anyone else on fluoxetine? I am just three days in and this is my first time on antidepressants. I have gone on them due to severe anxiety and have also been going to therapy for childhood trauma / highly stressful time in my life. I have been very cautious in the past about considering anti depressants, but after a chat with GP they thought it could help, as I am already trying the other routes (therapy / healthy lifestyle). I know it takes a few weeks to properly start working, but three days in I just feel completely ‘numb’ - has anyone else found this / does it subside? Not sure I want to stay on them if this is just what anti depressants feel like. The anxiety has certainly subsided but has been replaced with a ‘meh’ feeling Confused

That is exactly what they do. Numb emotions. They don’t make you happy unfortunately.

Stick with them and give them a proper trial for at least 6 weeks, or you will never know what they can do for you. When they get properly in your system you can't tell they are there. You just feel normal.

Fluoxetine really worked for me in fact they helped me from being in my bed 24/7. I felt more energy/hyper and not so flat all the time which comes with depression. I would rather feel a bit numb and have some energy to open up some doors in my life than feel the flat/blank feeling depression from subsequent anxiety brought on any day. I’ve tried others with little success..
