Sertraline brand differences?

I've been taking sertraline 50mg for 6 months now. Every time I go to the chemist they seem to give me a different brand. I've just finished a months supply of teva uk sertraline (orange box) and started on a box of accord sertraline (brown box).
Since starting this box I've felt more tearful, tired, anxious and had a really dry mouth. The last time they swapped which brand I had it caused an upset stomach for 3 weeks solid.
Is there really that much difference in the ingredients that could cause such a strong reaction? Or is it a coincidence? And can I request a specific brand when I collect from the chemist of do I just have to take what I'm given?
Thanks 😊

There shouldn't be any difference in the generics - it's the same active ingredients. You won't be able to request a different one from the chemist, but you can ask the doctor to change it, although I imagine they've done it because prescribing the most recent one has a benefit for the surgery so they might be reluctant to change it.

I would imagine that the symptoms you're experiencing are just a coincidence, or an effect from thinking that there's a difference in the pills, which can still lead to real symptoms. Hope you feel better soon Thanks

I would talk to the pharmacist about this, I can't personally say that I have any noticed any difference in effect.
