I've just been prescribed lamotrigine for BPD. Has anyone else taken it, and how did you find it?

I took it many years ago, the wait to get to a therapeutic dose was hard and for me it didn't improve my low mood and then didn't stop the antidepressant I was later prescribed from sending my mood high so I came off it.
I didn't get any side effects from it and read lots of positive reviews about it at the time it just wasn't the medication for me. The next drug I tried suited me much better and I have been on that for ~8 years.
I hope the lamotrogine works for you.
