I have terrible insomnia (my Mirtazapine stopped working for sleep...infact it has sent me manic : /. I am getting around an hour a night. Been given a few zopiclone but addictive : ) The insomnia is relentless now, and affecting my mental health. and I asked my doctor if I could try low dose quetiapine but she said she would refer me to psychiatrist as she can't prescribe it. Anyone been like me? Awaiting chat with psychiatrist on Thursday over the phone

It is an anti psychotic medication prescribed for schizophrenics amongst other conditions.

Read up on the side effects.

I wouldn't go near it.

I cannot give advice, not qualified to do so, but recently have found guided meditations for sleep quite helpful. They are free on Youtube, Michael Sealey and Jason Stephenson are particularly good. I have slept better because of them and they are not woo-ish. It won't hurt you to try.

Good luck.
