It’s still a very stressful time we are living through. Personally I am struggling more now than I did at the start of lockdown.
I know I don’t get asked this enough... so how are you?

I’m struggling a bit the last week but I’m ok I think. Trying to keep busy and talking to people when I can. How are you?

Etinox · 25/08/2020 21:41

I’m good. Thank you for asking. It’s rare to be able to reply with no agenda. I have supervision via work which is wonderful.
Tell me more about how you’re finding things @Workinprogress30.

I'm also struggling more now than I did at the start of lockdown. I feel more useless and depressed now. I have nothing to look forward to. I'm working from home, my partner in on furlough and has borderline personality disorder. He doesn't like to go out so we are stuck together in a small home all day.

Lockdown has made me realise how much I use my day to day life to avoid looking at how awful my life is. I don't have any friends that live near me so there hasn't been any joy in my life as lockdown is lifted.

I didn't even know my life was as bad as this. Just shows you how you can miss what is right under your own nose.

How are you and have you developed any coping strategies?

Sorry I hope that didn’t sound like I wanted people to ask me Blush
@LivingMyBestLife2020 your name made me giggle. Keeping busy is my go to thing as well. I randomly decorated my bedroom at the weekend and it felt so good to have a distraction.
@Etinox that is good about work. Definitely helps having that support.

I’ve just returned to work, so better than I was. But we are working from home for the foreseeable and so I am trying to find another job which will get me out the house. Trying to do more of what I know helps me. Could do with some ☀️

I want to do my bathroom. I’m currently watching Marie Kindo and thinking of tackling my bedroom drawers and kitchen tomorrow

Hi! Its nice to be asked, I dont think when anyone asks 'How are you?' they actually want a truthful answer!
So lockdown has been an absolute nightmare and as a pp said, when it lifted I realised I dont actually have any joy or friends to pop and see.
We've had issues with the neighbours over lockdown (horrendous traumatic stuff) and I am on constant high alert, fearful with bouts of insomnia. We have made the decision to sell for all of our mh sake, but that in itself is stressful and emotional as we have put so much effort into this house. Currently painting and decluttering ready for photos to be taken.
Never struggled with mental health before and found it really hard to speak to a GP, but I did,and I'm glad. I have setraline for anxiety and fnished a course of CBT. Still feel I have a long way to go and can only hope that moving helps, I would like to sleep in my bed without jumping to every noise or my heart racing.
Thanks for asking, I hope you are ok too.
