Side effects of citalopram??

ive been on this drug for just over 3wks now, have no appetite really, and sudden high sex drive? is this common? its a pain as i have no partner now and i think about sex all the time!
although am also suffering from insomnia and severe mood swings too..

i would say a high sex drive is a bonus! i have none whatsoever (on 30mg of citalopram) and it's rubbish. and i'm sure your appetite will come back soon - it's probably more about how you're feeling than the medicine. as are the mood swings and insomnia. in my experience it took about 4 weeks for the antidepressant effect to fully kick in and help with those things. hope you feel better soon x
