Strange behaviour - OCD?

Hiya,

I've been doing this repetitive behaviour in my head for about a year now and I'm not sure if I should be worried/take action about it.

When I see/hear a word I 'type it out' on a computer keyboard in my head. If it doesn't have an even amount of letters on each hand, it bugs me and I have to 'fix it' eg adding another letter. I also just simply count the amount of letters in a phrase to see if it's even.

On top of this I suffer with anxiety and depression. Is this something to worry about? Could it be a form of OCD? I do it pretty much all day everyday so it's pretty draining.

Tia xx

I would agree it sounds like ocd. Talk to your GP and ask to be referred to a psychologist who has experience in this area. Meanwhile there are loads of good books that might be worth looking at so you can work on some strategies while you wait for an appt.
