I understand people need to get stuff done, this has been heightened through the lockdown I think. We have had our garden fence replaced recently.

However, over the last three weeks I have had to listen to;

3 large trees being chainsawed(not same garden)

Three fences being replaced (1 ours)

Two roads being resurfaced, overnight

Neighbour but one having their small garden landscaped for THREE WEEKS, weekend included

Neighbour other side having their house renovated for OVER A YEAR

The school we live near to has now had mobile hut, digger etc delivered- whoopeee

I literally cannot stand one more day of it. In this heat I cannot shut the windows but I can't hear my radio, tv or myself think. Just back from a week away. Sat hear listening to the sound of a generator and hammer drowning out Radio 4. I am crying. It is torture.

It's probably too late to answer this but yes, that is a lot of construction to listen to!

Are you able to get out during the day to get away from the noise? Or get noise cancelling headphones for watching tv? (they really work if you get the good ones) or wax earplugs?

Good luck!
