Nightmares on opiates/antidepressants- how can I stop them?

I’m on nortriptyline for nerve pain, dihydracodine for pain and sertraline for depression which I feel I’m over but doc wants me to continue to take the pills just in case.
Morphine gave me terrible night terrors too.
I don’t take the ‘d’ within 2-3 hours of going to sleep, but I’m still having terrible night terrors where I think I’ve woken multiple times.
When I do finally awake it takes time to feel confident I am awake and I don’t want to go back to sleep in case the dreams come back.
I tend to have them within 1-2 hours of falling asleep.
I’d love some advice to stop or at least manage these please. I’ve woken alone and it’s horrible.
I have a very active/vivid imagination and tend to dream a lot anyway.
Thanks

@Spanielmadness you need to go back to your GP or whoever prescribed these drugs. In particular, you should not be on nortriptyline and sertraline both at the same time. You are at risk from serotonin syndrome from this combination. Tell your doctor about what you have been experiencing.
