Drinking alcohol on sertraline

I've recently started talking sertraline and I'm going for a meal and drinks with the girls on Friday. I very rarely drink, i was just wondering if anybody has had any side effects with it whilst drinking?

I was wondering this too if anyone knows? I know it says on leaflet avoid alcohol. I think perhaps it makes you more drowsy with the tabs?

You will become intoxicated more quickly but, pivotally, you won't be able to tell yourself.

Make sure you stick to one or two and be prepared to have a hangover much worse than you would expect usually.
Make your plans to get home safely before you drink. Have a good night 😀
