Feeling closed in

I have social anxiety and depression so I know how those feel to me, but more recently I'm experiencing something I've never felt before.
I could be sat down and suddenly get this feeling of being closed in, it makes me feel like I can't breath even though I can and I get a weird faint, dizzy sensation but it doesn't feel like I'm going to faint or anything. I also get very irritated at that point and want to be left alone or it gets worse.
Is this another part of my anxiety? As I've said, this is completely new to me.

I'm sorry you're feeling this way. It sounds very similar to anxiety to me, possibly like a panic attack? Sending good thoughts and hoping you feel better soon. Thanks

@LouJ85 thank you for your kindness. I dont know, but I don't like it at all. Is it possible to have an anxiety or panic attack without a trigger? The only times I've had attacks in the past is from situations.

Yes I have had panic attacks in the past and it is possibly to have them occur seemingly out of the blue (but there are probably underlying reasons that build up ifyswim although, as is evident, I am not a hcp.) They are really horrible so you have my sympathy Flowers

And, at some points, during lockdown, I have been feeling close to going back to that feeling but happily haven't so far.

Best to have a word with gp first to rule out anything else and then maybe do some of the mindful/calming apps on line that can help you to focus your mind on breathing and on something relaxing. Best of luck to you Flowers
