any ideas on how to do this? Have gained a stone since being on this since March and feel that I need to stop taking it now.

I'm on 20mg at the moment. Have been on them for six months and cant believe the weight I have put on. Will go back to doctors and see what he thinks then. Thanks

I agree with Loopy. Do it slowly, and also be prepared for possible difficult feelings ahead. I had a short emotional/low period when i came off it (which i probably did too quickly). It was totally manageable though, and I don't want to scare you off your decision. -I just mention it because if you are prepared then you'll know what's going on and won't panic and be tempted to restart medication.
Would it be worth thinking about other support systems you could put in place for when the medication ends? (Friends or family you could prepare? Some kind of talking therapy if you still feel low? New activities?)
Just one thing: I may have misunderstood, but your posting sounds like you may want to come off it largely bc of the weight gain you associate with it. -Make sure that is a good enough reason to do this and don't rush things.
Good luck.
