Hi. I'm new to chat rooms. I had PND pretty badly, after having my DD(11) - 12 days O/D, Induction, no sleep for 46hrs, rough labour. That experience, put me off having more. It took a lot of persuading from DH, for me to agree to try for a 2nd. After I had DS (7) - suffered Intraheptic Cholestasis, BP problems made me pass out lots. I was Induced at 2 days O/D. That birth went smoother then my 1st. But, I STILL got PND - not AS severe as the 1st time, but still bad.
DH got a Vasectomy, when DS was 3-4 months old.
Since having DD, I've struggled with Depression and Anxiety. I've been on and off Antidepressants, seen Counsellors, tried CBT. The pills I'm on these past 6 months (150mg Sertraline) seem to be working better than the others.
DH has recently told me, that he'd have liked a 3rd child. But got a Vasectomy because he didn't think I'd cope, mentally.
Since he said this, I've wondered whether or not, IF we agreed on a 3rd. Am I risking a 3rd lot of PND.
Does anyone have an input, please?
