Is there any point talking to Dr?

I have really bad anxiety and recently it's been getting worse (not coronavirus related, I'm not particularly anxious about that). It's becoming more and more of a problem along with postnatal depression, and DH wants me to speak to the GP.
But, I have severe emetophobia so just can't deal with the idea of the side effects of medication, and I've done the online talking therapies courses for anxiety and for postnatal depression and found them useless. So, I feel like there's no point speaking to the GP because I'm not interested in the two options he'll offer. Is there any point?
