Can propalanol alone work for anxiety

I was taking sertraline for the physical symptoms of anxiety from March 2019 to February of this year. I came off them because the side effects were too much for me, never really subsided and I'd only a slight improvement of anxiety.

My symptoms are racing heart, chest and muscle tightness and tense jaw. I'm constantly on edge and can't relax.

I really feel I need something to help me, the physical symptoms are wearing me down and making me feel exhausted. I think my body has got used to being like this after a stressful event many years ago and even though that stress is long gone, these symptoms remain.

I'm considering asking gp to prescribe propalanol or something else. Has anyone had success on this alone for anxiety?

It's stops the physical symptoms so you won't have that racing heart etc, helps your body feel a lot calmer.

Try it, for some people it's all they need to be able to push through the anxiety.

I took propranolol for those exact reasons. Helped me get my body under control until I could use other mechanisms for my anxiety.
