CBD Oil for anxiety

I have been suffering with quite heavy social anxiety - mainly but not totally work related - for several years now. I have been considering taking CBD capsules to help me with this rather than dosing myself up with prescription medication. Even my Mum (who is also 100% against me going on any kind of antidepressants) is all for it telling me they are helpful and harmless. Holland and Barrett sell a bottle of 60. My worry is they will work like a charm, then I'll have to go out and buy another 60... a slippery slope you see? I probably won't take them every single day unless you need to? I don't want to feel like I'll fall apart without them (think Dumbo and his magic feather!)

So I guess I'm asking... are they addictive? Anyone on here used them for anxiety?

Hi, I used the oil for a while (same reason) and did find that it took the edge off. I didn't feel any side effects so was quite happy with it. I stopped taking it after about 2 months as I felt I wasn't getting enough benefits from it and I didn't want to keep increasing it. I ended up going onto meds instead which are much better for me. I'd say give them a try

Thanks. I really don't want "meds" was just interested to see how other people's experiences have been

Meant try the CBD capsules or oil. Everybody has different reactions...

I did and found that they didnt really do much (for some people they seem to really help though so I wouldnt write them of on that basis). However, the other side of that is that I experienced absolutely 0 negative effects when I stopped taking it if that helps!

Didn't help me unfortunately. Tried it daily as per instructions for 6 weeks and felt no different. Not sure if I should have keep going or not.

I've tried an oil and I don't think it did anything for me. But ... when I've really read up on it, it seems that bandwagon-jumpers are trying to cash in a bit by selling another, useles, oil (can't remember what it was?) as "CBD" due to a bit of a loophole. So I've got it in the back of my mind to try again but look a bit closer at the ingredients and small print.

yes i used it for anxiety and it helped. took a few days of use to really start working and i kept it up for a month. but then once that automatic anxious feeling i got daily stopped coming its like i broke the anxious habit..so i was able to come off the drops no problem.

most places sell very low dosage and i found you needed the 1500mg version for it to actually work. i bought mine here and also got some for my father who had same issues. he was happy with it too.
