From what I understand six weeks is usually enough time to give a good indication. Maybe time for a chat with your GP, to maybe try a higher dose or something else?

Contact your Gp and let them know you may need to consider a different medication or therapy, be strong

Do chat with your GP. Are you doing CBT or having other therapy too? Anxiety is awful OP. But the right medication (at the right dose) and the right support can really make all the difference.

What dose are you on?
Could be you need a little higher.

Or maybe a different medication, I previously took fluoxetine but it stopped working so well so I moved to citalopram.

Try not to be afraid of taking meds/higher dosage etc - the way I see it is if a teeny pill can make my life better I'm taking it!

Are you feeling any better over the nine weeks?

Wolfiefan · 27/06/2020 18:06

I was on Citalopram and switched to fluoxetine! I would talk to the GP about dose etc. And if you’re not having CBT or other therapy then I would think about that. It can give you techniques to use on a low day to see you through.
