Can I ask what do people do if they are really struggling and feel they have no one . I’m so sad and unhappy with my life and don’t really see it ever changing.
I feel so sorry for my ds having me as a parent
Tonight I looked up the number for the samaratins but I can’t face phoning them
From the outside you wouldn’t know anything was the matter I’m mrs happy go lucky but I’m dead inside

Sending hugs OP, it's not easy is it? I'm sure you are a wonderful mum to your DS, lockdown has made things so much harder. Give the Samaritans a call, just to offload I'm sure will make you feel a lot better x

Hi OP, this is such a tough time. Please give yourself a break and look after yourself. The Samaritans may help and there are also loads of charities that offer free counselling services. What country are you in? If in Ireland, check out turn2me.ie.
But the most important thing for you right now is to know that you are not alone. So many people are struggling even if they don't say it. Find somebody to talk to like a counsellor and they can help you stay strong for your DS.
You are important. You are loved. You are valued. Look after you x

Sorry your feeling like this Sad
I would say to call the Samaritans as you may feel better being able to offload? Or you could always have a vent/post on here? I'm sure lots of support (albeit on the internet & anonymous) but it might help?
This lockdown has been absolutely awful for peoples mental health, please remember that you're not alone & It will get better though. Im sure you're a great mum to your son!
Sending hugs Thanks

Have you tried texting Shout ?

Beetlebum1981 · 10/06/2020 21:19

Have you spoken to your GP about how you feel? I'm seeing a therapist at the moment and apparently waiting times to see a counsellor are really low at the moment as people aren't going to the Drs. In my area you can self refer through IAPT too.
I'm sorry you feel this way, it's utterly crap.

Earinglady · 10/06/2020 21:32

Thank you for all your replies it really means a lot.
I have spoken to my gp previously and saw a counsellor last year for 4 sessions and it helped at the time but I was discharged.
I have been sitting crying for 5 hours.

I was like that myself yesterday op, texting shout did help me to realise I wasn't alone. It's free.

Earinglady · 11/06/2020 08:02

@towelnolongerrequired, I’ve had a look for that number but can’t find it.

Thanks again for everyone last night, it helped a lot Even just typing how I felt helped.

@Earinglady how are you doing? xx

Whym · 10/08/2020 21:42

Hi Earinglady,
Hope you are ok? I felt like this recently and rang the Samaritans. They were excellent and I poured out all I was feeling. Do make the call, it really does help x

frenchonion · 10/08/2020 21:43
