I am very anxious at the moment. I have citalopram. I don't want to get spaced out by taking 10mg .I need to be on the ball for work. This is a dodgy question I know. Could I take a low dosage like 5mg (break tablet in half). Gradually build it up. Or take alternate days. Thanks

10mg is a low dose. You can break them in half if you like, but I presume your doctor has given you 10mg for a reason.
However, the first week or two of any SSRI can be tricky, so do consider taking sick leave for a few days if you need to.

I do it with my medication (Rexulti). The psych said it's fine as long as I am functioning. My medication is an anti-psychotic but I take it for long term depression and anxiety.

It's work that is adding to my stress being back in school with lots of children. I can't take sick leave. I won't get paid. I just need to get thro the next 7 weeks and get a new job. I can't talk to school as they say don't work and I won't get paid for this term or the summer holidays.
I just need to get thro these 7 weeks
