I'm desperate for a outside perspective.
My husband has been diagnosed with psychosis. I'm living at my in laws house with my 2 and half year old and I'm 30 weeks pregnant. He has been referred to a NHS team. We had to ring the ambulance today because he was Suicidal. He went willingly. He is now saying he is discharging himself (because he can by law).
He is hearing voices, he thinks the government are speaking to him through bbc news. All me and his parents have done is cry because he won't take his meds because he doesn't think he is ill. If he leaves I personally don't think it is safe for me and mr son to be around but he said if I leave he will kill himself.
I'm so stressed out and have Been for the last 3 weeks I'm surprised the stress hasn't made me ill. He thinks rappers in America are talking to him, he thinks everyone in the world has been watching him. He won't take his meds so I'm my head he won't get better and then I worry about the safety of me and my child. What do I do? Someone please give me some advice I'm desperate

It means he's put under temporary holding section until a formal mental health act assessment is done within 48 or maybe 72 hrs can't remember - a MHAct approved psychiatrist and MH act approved SW usually and often another doctor will assess and if needed will detain him fir assessment and treatment. From what you have sad I think they will detain him under further section definitely.

Hugs op, hopefully it means that ultimately he will have an assessment and get proper treatment. Hopefully he can get rest and get stable on some medication, that is the key to recovery.
