Feel like I'm going mad with the terror of this virus. Scared to leave the house, scared for my family to go out and bring it in.
Am driving everyone here mad with demands to wash hands, wipe down shopping, hand sanitise etc. Am absolutely paranoid. Need to see sense and be sensible. I can't, have health anxiety and see utter danger everywhere.
Feel like I'm going out my mind.

If anyone can recommend anything to try to read or listen to, I'd Really appreciate it.

I'm the same. Contact your gp. I think there are many who will be in the same situation. My life is spent spraying everything with isopropyl alcohol at the moment. I understand Thanks

I already have propranolol. I don't know what else there is.

Propanalol will help with the physical aspects of anxiety. You need something else , there are loads of different drugs that can help. Speak to your GP.

It IS scary but you have to look at the evidence. Unless you are in a vulnerable group, Covid-19 will likely be no worse than a seasonal cold. Not even as bad as flu. That doesnt mean we shouldn't be taking precautions, we should. But we cannot let this take our lives away.

I am.furloughed too, so I understand how all this time on your hands acts to feed anxiety
Mine has been bad, although weirdly not about covid'19. This might be because i suspect I've already had it, but I've not been tested.

Do you have a garden? Can you sit outside and listen to the birds singing. I've started feeding the birds and I love watching them. Sparrows, starlings, blackbirds - all of them with their own personalities. I try and appreciate the little things.

When i go for a walk I take pictures, just on my phone of dandelions, bumblebees, daisies- it makes me notice all of those little things. It stops me from constantly seeking the news.

I do understand how difficult it is when your brain takes over. That's why you need to speak to your GP.

I completely understand, I am not furloughed, but am ineligible, so the anxiety of that was playing on my mind. Defo speak to your GP. Maybe setting small daily goals. X
