No help in a crisis?

I have a young baby and PND. I had been having physical contact with MH team, slowly improving, going over past traumas etc, which is now over the phone. However, the PND combined with the seemingly never ending lockdown is the perfect storm and the black cloud is dominating. The MH team know my plans, but guess unless you do anything and survive it, there's nothing out there for people in crisis?
Does anyone have any experience of MH, especially during motherhood and /or during lockdown?
Thank you. X

Are you saying that you are planning to do harm to yourself and/or your child? If that is the case then you need to contact your GP immediately and tell them.

I would never hurt my child. But I have had thoughts about myself, which I know is not normal. I'd never do anything as I'm scared of dying. But I don't know how to feel better. Thank you for commenting.

They never are any help. I rang the crisis line once and told them I was going to take an overdose. They told me if I wanted to then it was my choice, to take a walk and a bath and someone would ring me in a few hours. No one did so I went ahead and did it. Unfortunately I have quite the tolerance for the drug in question so all that happened is I slept for 22 hours straight and woke up feeling like the 4th day of a 3 day pass. No one ever followed up the call.

The better bet when you're feeling like that is to go to A&E as they are not allowed to let you leave without support in place once you tell them you are suicidal.

Go to A&E. I went about a week ago in a mental health crisis and it helped. As PP said they can't leave you alone. Did they give you any other places you can go? Don't suffer, get help Flowers
