Anxiety and background noise..help!

I'm suffering from severe anxiety and I always feel like there is background noise. It's driving me insane. I don't see my doctor until next week. I've had a few auditory hallucinations as well like hearing my name or a mumble. Is this just my brain playing tricks on me? Can anyone relate?

Hope you can help.

Oh you poor thing! Have you had this before? Xx

I've had a resurgence of very loud tinnitus as my anxiety has begun increasing. Could it be that?

@Really123456 @Thighmageddon no I've not had the background noise much before. I do have tinnitus but I only hear that mostly at night. Can you have tinnitus during the day too? It's the auditory hallucinations that are really worrying me the most. Can they be anxiety induced?

Thanks

Yes I'm sat here with my tinnitus being really, really loud. And yes sometimes it can present as thinking I've heard words being said. Stress and anxiety can definitely make it worse.

Thank you.

Just wondering if anyone else has had auditory hallucinations (eg hearing your name, mumbling, background noise) with stress and anxiety that may not be tinnitus related? Sad I'm really worried.

It's probably tinnitus, ring and ask to speak to your GP earlier than planned? X

@Wishful7415 how are you now?
