OTC anxiety meds?

Evening all,
For the past 4 or 5 days, every evening starting around 9pm, I get a tight chest and rapid heartbeat. It feels like a burning pain behind my best bone, and can rise up into my throat. I'm pretty sure it's anxiety related to current events. I have tried deep breathing exercises but it just seems to make my heart beat harder. Can ab anyone recommend some over the counter anti - anxiety medication? Thank you.

St.John's Wort is meant to be good,or Calms lavender.

My anxiety issues cause pain and burning in my chest just as you describe.
I've had various investigations and have been told it's GERD which can be triggered by anxiety.
I was prescribed PPI's.
I find it Gaviscon Advance really helps personally.
The timing would really fit with it being similar to my issues.

@Spied That's interesting - would explain why it is worse in the evening, after dinner. Thank you for your reply, I will try gaviscon tonight!
