Bipolar 1 and schizophrenia been completely self isolating for two weeks no symptoms just don't want to catch it but I feel empty tonight, like someone hollowed out my insides. Just feel dead can't cry can't show any emotion at all got a phone consultation with my psychiatrist Monday but don't want to tell him as I know he worries about me a lot as I seen him regular for years. Also his secretary told me he is only calling a few patients as he has had to do some work in hospital with everything going on and don't want him worrying about me.

Hi! I think you actually should tell your psychiatrist as it's his job to worry about you! When you're mentally unwell it's normal to think you don't matter but actually you do!
Just as much as any other patients your psychiatrist has got!

Btw I've got a psychiatrist appointment in April should I phone outpatients to see what's happening with it?
Apart from being a bit paranoid & having a few audible hallucinations I feel fairly well.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling too good.
I don't think having to stay in alone helps anyone.

I would ring as they moved everyone over to phone consultations here and restricted access to crisis it's only available if your open to psychiatric services or get a gp referral or police take you in.

I don't really want to tell him as I don't want to mess round with my medication right now when there is limited facilities and help available for if I react badly. Also don't want to increase medication as my psychiatrist said it's important for me to recognize the difference between my illnesses and when a normal person would feel mentally strained. And right now I think everyone is suffering. Plus I don't know if this is just a blip.

Just been told my appointment for Monday is canceled. My psychiatrist has been called into hospital, and they don't know when services will resume.

If I'm really bad however call the on duty officer and they will make sure a psychiatrist comes to see me feeling frightened now.
