Last Saturday I had really bad pelvic pain all night stabbing pains. I went to GP Monday even though I really didn’t want to enter the surgery 😫My urine test showed no UTI tiny trace of blood that you could only see on dip test.
Doc said she thinks it’s a kidney infection due to area of pain
My pain then continued all around my lower back, doctor gave me antibiotics for 7 days made me do another urine sample and swabs myself at home that I’m waiting results on.
On day 3 or The antibiotics and the pain is still bad and still there ! Is this normal ?
I don’t wanna waste GPs time 😔

Antibiotics should be doing something by now. Call the docs again ask for telephone consultation

I recently had a kidney infection and had pain in the exact way you describe. However day 3 of antibiotics my pain was starting to lesson by day 5 it was gone.

I had similar pain and blood in urine when I had kidney stones. Could it be that as obviously antibiotics won't help but they should pass in time?

I've had a kidney infection recently and still had some discomfort by day 7 so was given an extra 3 days worth of antibiotics. It did the trick. It doesn't always clear up straight away.

Thanks all
Doc phoned me and said there was a very High white blood cell count in my urine which indicates infection 😒
